Due to the increased complexities of all taxes in the EMEA region, as a result of tighter legislation , our client is seeking a Senior Tax individual that will be based in the UK office but would have responsibility for both the UK and German taxes. The individual would report directly to the UK Financial Director (FD) and would be required to travel to Germany.
Key responsibilities include, however are not limited to: All areas associated with Corporation taxes, including: Preparation and filing for Corporation Tax returns Corporation tax computations for the Management Accounts, i.e. Corporation Tax, Deferred Taxes, tax benefits such as WEIHL and GIT Verlag and income statement. Tax forecasting Maintenance and updating of WEIHL and GIT tax benefits as per the current group structure and also if there are any changes to the company structure, for example, due to an acquisition or disposal Support the 3 business in acquisitions and disposals All areas associated with VAT, including: Preparation and filing of VAT returns Introducing clear concise guidance to the 3 businesses on VAT rules for both the UK and Germany Support the 3 business in acquisition and disposals This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking company, a highly visible role that will involve international travel approximately twice a month.
