The Person

The successful applicant will need to evidence a strong track record of success gained within a service industry as an ‘Account Manager’, they must have experience of managing project roll outs, as well as managing a range of large and complex accounts in a variety of different business’s, they must also have a commercial awareness, and have excellent problem solving skills as well as be confident with Word and Excel. You will be joining a small team and responsible for the smooth running of company payroll. Inputting of client schedules and raising invoices. Assisting Payroll supervisor with the smooth running of weekly payroll. Working closely with customer service department and all external clients payroll departments. Key tasks include producing payslips, answering payroll queries.
We are looking for candidates with a keen eye for detail and a good knowledge of Word and Excel spreadsheets. Excellent communication skills and telephone manner required. The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines is essential. Payroll experience is essential.

Brand new role working for this global leader. Due to the increased complexities of all taxes in the EMEA region, as a result of tighter legislation , our client is seeking a Senior Tax individual that will be based in the UK office but would have responsibility for both the UK and German taxes. The individual would report directly to the UK Financial Director (FD) and would be required to travel to Germany.
Key responsibilities include, however are not limited to:

All areas associated with Corporation taxes, including:
Preparation and filing for Corporation Tax returns
Corporation tax computations for the Management Accounts, i.e. Corporation Tax, Deferred Taxes, tax benefits such as WEIHL and GIT Verlag and income statement.
Tax forecasting
Maintenance and updating of WEIHL and GIT tax benefits as per the current group structure and also if there are any changes to the company structure, for example, due to an acquisition or disposal
Support the 3 business in acquisitions and disposals

All areas associated with VAT, including:
Preparation and filing of VAT returns
Introducing clear concise guidance to the 3 businesses on VAT rules for both the UK and Germany
Support the 3 business in acquisition and disposals

This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking company, a highly visible role that will involve international travel approximately twice a month.

It is essential that you are qualified and hold the following accreditations.
ACCA, ICAEW,CTA.

This role will have two direct reports within the corporate finance department.
